We are delighted to launch our brand new pamphlet: There is always an alternative

Labour Councils are the frontline in protecting Sure Start. This pamphlet shows that Labour Councils have closed fewer Children’s Centres than Conservative Councils. It also shows that Centres in Labour areas are more likely to be rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted – whilst Centres in Tory areas are much more likely to be rated Inadequate or Requiring Improvement.

The pamphlet goes on to explore some of the best practice in Labour Councils and to argue that even in these incredibly difficult times, there is always an alternative to closing Children’s Centres.
